1. Monitoramento da zona superficial de neve úmida da Península Antártica pelo uso de dados dos sensores SMMR e SSM/I
Special Sensor Microwave-Imager (SSM/I) EASE-grid data and classified ASAR wideswath (WS) images, covering the Antarctic Peninsula (AP), were processed and used in a Spectral Linear Mixing Model (SLMM) for a subpixel analysis of the Wet Snow Zone (WSZ) in SSM/I images. The components¿ proportions (fraction images) of the endmembers in the study area, namely

2. Test of hypothesis in majoritarian election / Testes de hipóteses em eleições majoritárias
The problem of inference about a proportion, widely explored in the statistical literature, plays a key role in the development of several theories of statistical inference and, invariably, is the object of investigation and discussion in comparative studies among different schools of inference. In addition, the estimation of proportions, as well as test of

3. Absence of cytosine methylation at C-C-G-G and G-C-G-C sites in the rDNA coding regions and intervening sequences of Drosophila and the rDNA of other insects.
Cytosine residues in C-G dinucleotides are frequently methylated in eukaryote DNA. In DNA of the dinoflagellate C. cohnii, the sequence C-MeC-G-G apparently renders Hpa II (C-C-G-G) incapable of digesting whole cell DNA in general, and rDNA in particular. Msp I, which also recognizes C-C-G-G but cleaves irrespective of methylation, degrades C. cohnii DNA and
