1. Tolerance of cowpea cultivars to pre-emergence application of sulfentrazone
ABSTRACT Improved methods of weed control are required to support expansion of large-scale cowpea cultivation in mid-west Brazil. With the aim of testing our hypothesis that the tolerance of cowpea cultivars to sulfentrazone is dose- and genotype-dependent, we assessed the effects of increasing doses (0, 250, 500 and 1,000 g ha-1 of sulfentrazone) on the cul

2. Management Of Commelina benghalensis with Saflufenacil in Shaded Environments

3. Phytotoxicity of imazapyr+imazapic on tolerant rice varieties Guri INTA CL and IRGA 424 RI
ABSTRACT Rice varieties from the Clearfield® system may present different tolerance levels to imidazolinone herbicides in function of application rate. The objective of this research was to evaluate the phytotoxicity of different rates of the formulated mixture of the herbicides imazapyr+imazapic applied on two tolerant irrigated rice varieties. The exper

4. Differential Tolerance of Clones of Eucalyptus grandis Exposed to Drift of the Herbicides Carfentrazone-Ethyl and Glyphosate

5. Phytoremediation Capacity of Forest Species to Herbicides in Two Types of Soils
Abstract The present study aimed to evaluate the potential of forest species for herbicide phytoremediation. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse with a randomized block design and a 2x3x3 factorial scheme, using two soils (Red-Yellow Latosol - RYL and Quartzarenic sandy soil - QN), three herbicide solutions (without herbicides/water, 2,4-D and atra

6. Persistence of auxinic herbicides applied on pasture and toxicity for succeeding crops
ABSTRACT The aim of this work was to determine the persistence of auxinic herbicides applied on tropical pasture and toxicity for succeeding crops. The herbicides were applied in an area of dystrophic red‒yellow latosol with pasture infested of weeds. At 40, 80, and 280 days after application of herbicide, the soil samples were collected at depths of 0 to

7. BRS 430 B2RF and BRS 432 B2RF: Insect-resistant and glyphosate-tolerant high-yielding cotton cultivars
Abstract Transgenic cotton cultivars BRS 430 B2RF and BRS 432 B2RF, medium and late season respectively, were developed by EMBRAPA in partnership with Bahia Foundation, aiming to create a high-yielding germplasm. The Bt toxins Cry1Ac and Cry2Ab target lepidopteran pests and the CP4-EPSPS gene confers tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate.

8. BRS 369RF and BRS 370RF: Glyphosate tolerant, high-yielding upland cotton cultivars for central Brazilian savanna
Abstract BRS 369RF and BRS 370RF were developed by the EMBRAPA as a part of efforts to create high-yielding germplasm with combinations of transgenic traits. BRS 369RF and BRS 370RF are midseason cultivars and have yield stability, adaptation to the central Brazilian savanna, good fiber quality and tolerance to glyphosate herbicide.

9. Changes in the accumulation of shikimic acid in mycorrhized Capsicum annuum L. grown with application of glyphosate and phosphorus
When glyphosate is added to the soil, it is absorbed by roots and transported by xylem causing growth inhibition in plants. Mycorrhiza is the beneficial association between roots of most plants and soil fungi. The methylphosphonic group of the glyphosate could compete with inorganic phosphates for sorption sites in the soil. The aim of this work was to study

10. Efeito do gene CP4 EPSPS na produtividade de óleo em populações de soja / Effect of CP4 EPSPS gene on the oil yield of soybean populations
During the past few years, with the increase of the biodiesel international price and rising demand, there has been a larger interest in increasing the oil content of soybean cultivars. It is known that the high oil production is a function of yield. However, there are many factors that prevent cultivars from expressing their full yield potential, for exampl

11. Aplicação da trifluralina no controle da intrusão radicular de tubogotejadores enterrados sob lavoura cafeeira / Application of trifluralin in root intrusion control of subsurface drip under coffee
The objective of this research was to investigate effects of different doses and frequency of application of the herbicide Trifluralin to avoid root intrusion in subsurface drip irrigation in a coffee field during its initial development (6 to 18 months). While the space between rows was 2.5 meters, space between plants was 0.5 meters. A completely randomize

12. Seleção de espécies para a fitorremediação de solos contaminados com o herbicida sulfentrazone
The objective of this study was to select plants tolerant to herbicide sulfentrazone, capable of remediate soil contaminated with this herbicide and to determine the minimum time that these plants should stay in remedying in the field before the sowing of species sensitive to herbicide. Due to this, three experiments were held. At first, sixteen species were
