1. Comportamento crítico da produção de entropia em modelos com dinâmicas estocásticas competitivas / Critical behavior of entropy production in models with competitive stochastic dynamics
We study kinetic phase transitions and the critical behavior of the entropy production in spin models with nearest neighbor interactions subject to two Glauber dynamics, which simulate two thermal baths at different temperatures. In this way, it is assumed that the system corresponds to a continuous time Markov process which obeys the master equation. Thus,

2. Sistemas de partículas interagentes dependentes de tipo e aplicações ao estudo de redes de sinalização biológica / Type-dependent interacting particle systems and their applications in the study of signaling biological networks
We study type-dependent stochastic spin models proposed by Fernández et al., which were used to model biological signaling networks. The original modeling setup describes the macroscopic evolution of a finite-size spin-flip model with k types of spins with arbitrary number of internal states interacting through a non-reversible stochastic dynamics. In the t

3. Extended Bell´s Be-ables and Atenuattion × Amplification Competition. / Extensão dos Be-ables de Bell e Competição Atenuação x Amplificação
In the first part of this work we employ the Itô stochastic equation to extend Bells be-able interpretation of quantum mechanics to encompass dissipation, decoherence and quantum-to-classical transition through quantum trajectories. For a particular choice of the source of stochasticity, the one leading to a dissipative Lindblad type correction to the Hamil

4. DEVELOPMENT OF HYBRID FINITE ELEMENTS FOR ANALYSIS OF DYNAMICS PROBLEMS USING ADVANCED MODE SUPERPOSITION / DESENVOLVIMENTO DE ELEMENTOS FINITOS HÍBRIDOS PARA A ANÁLISE DE PROBLEMAS DINÂMICOS USANDO SUPERPOSIÇÃO MODAL AVANÇADA
The hybrid finite element method, proposed by Pian on the basis of the Hellinger-Reissner potential, has proved itself a conceptual breakthrough among the discretization formulations, and has been extensively explored both academically and in commercial codes also taking into account an independent series of more recent developments called Trefftz methods. 5. Local persistence and blocking in the two-dimensional blume-capel model
In this paper we study the local persistence of the two-dimensional Blume-Capel Model by extending the concept of Glauber dynamics. We verify that for any value of the ratio alpha = D/J between anisotropy D and exchange J the persistence shows a power law behavior. In particular for alpha < 0 we find a persistence exponent thetal = 0:2096(13), i.e. in the Is

6. Nagel scaling and relaxation in the kinetic Ising model on an n-isotopic chain
The kinetic Ising model on an n-isotopic chain is considered in the framework of Glauber dynamics. The chain is composed of N segments with n sites, each one occupied by a different isotope. Due to the isotopic mass difference, the n spins in each segment have different relaxation times in the absence of interactions, and consequently the dynamics of the sys

7. Competing spin dynamics in ising systems
We study ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic Ising models in contact with a heat reservoir, and subject to an external source of energy. The contact with the heat bath is simulated by a single-spin flip Glauber dynamics, while the flux of energy is simulated by the two-spin exchange Kawasaki process. Pair approximation and Monte Carlo calculations are employ

8. Propagação de danos no modelo de ising em redes de bravais e em fractais
In this work we have studied, by Monte Carlo computer simulation, several properties that characterize the damage spreading in the Ising model, defined in Bravais lattices (the square and the triangular lattices) and in the Sierpinski Gasket. First, we investigated the antiferromagnetic model in the triangular lattice with uniform magnetic field, by Glauber

9. On the dynamics of the Ising model of cooperative phenomena
A two-dimensional (and to some degree three-dimensional) version of Glauber's one-dimensional spin relaxation model is described. The model is constructed to yield the Ising model of cooperative phenomena at equilibrium. A complete hierarchy of differential equations for multispin correlation functions is constructed. Some remarks are made concerning the sol
