1. Physiological analysis and gene expression analysis of ZmDBP3, ZmALDH9, ZmAN13, and ZmDREB2A in maize lines
ABSTRACT. The objective of this study was to evaluate gene expression related to water deficit tolerance in maize lines. For this, lines previously classified as tolerant (91-T and 32-T) and non-tolerant (24-NT and 57-NT) to water deficit were used. The seeds of the four lines were evaluated for emergence and emergence speed index, and the seedlings were eva

2. Molecular cloning and characterization of a novel freezing-inducible DREB1/CBF transcription factor gene in boreal plant Iceland poppy (Papaver nudicaule)
Abstract DREB1 of the AP2/ERF superfamily plays a key role in the regulation of plant response to low temperatures. In this study, a novel DREB1/CBF transcription factor, PnDREB1, was isolated from Iceland poppy (Papaver nudicaule), a plant adaptive to low temperature environments. It is homologous to the known DREB1s of Arabidopsis and other plant species.

3. Cloning and Overexpression of GmDREB2 Gene from a Vietnamese Drought-resistant Soybean Variety
ABSTRACTThis work studied the amplification, cloning and determination of the GmDREB2 gene from the soybean cultivar DT2008 and five Vietnamese local soybean cultivars (DT26, DT51, DVN5, CB, CBD) and designed the vector carrying the structure containing GmDREB2 gene from cultivar DT2008 (best drought tolerant). The coding region of GmDREB2 gene isolated from

4. Introduction of the rd29A: AtDREB2A CA gene into soybean (Glycine max L. Merril) and its molecular characterization in leaves and roots during dehydration
The loss of soybean yield to Brazilian producers because of a water deficit in the 2011-2012 season was 12.9%. To reduce such losses, molecular biology techniques, including plant transformation, can be used to insert genes of interest into conventional soybean cultivars to produce lines that are more tolerant to drought. The abscisic acid (ABA)-independent

10. Physiologic and agronomic evaluation of genetically modified soybean to improve drought tolerance / Avaliação fisiológica e agronômica de soja geneticamente modificada para maior tolerância à seca

11. Two transcription factors, DREB1 and DREB2, with an EREBP/AP2 DNA binding domain separate two cellular signal transduction pathways in drought- and low-temperature-responsive gene expression, respectively, in Arabidopsis.
Plant growth is greatly affected by drought and low temperature. Expression of a number of genes is induced by both drought and low temperature, although these stresses are quite different. Previous experiments have established that a cis-acting element named DRE (for dehydration-responsive element) plays an important role in both dehydration- and low-temper

12. CBF2/DREB1C is a negative regulator of CBF1/DREB1B and CBF3/DREB1A expression and plays a central role in stress tolerance in Arabidopsis
CBF/DREB1 (C-repeat-binding factor/dehydration responsive element-binding factor 1) genes encode a small family of transcriptional activators that have been described as playing an important role in freezing tolerance and cold acclimation in Arabidopsis. To specify this role, we used a reverse genetic approach and identified a mutant, cbf2, in which the CBF2
