1. A Pesca Industrial de Emalhe de Fundo em Santa Catarina-Brasil: Dinâmica, Tecnologia, Economia e Gestão
The gillnet fishery is a passive gear used to catch fish and crustacean species. Among the industrial fleet within the State of Santa Catarina which applies this technique, the main target-species are demersal fishes such as monkfish, whitemouth croaker and argentine croaker. The current work presents a study focused on the dynamic, economical and technologi

2. Análise comparativa da variação genética entre os estoques cultivado e natural de Prochilodus argenteus : implicações para o repovoamento de rios
Introduction of hatchery fish in river has been the major using strategy for river fishery rehabilitation, working to attenuate river damage in short time. But there are effective risks about their efficiency and results, concerning the pool gene preservation and illness proliferation, beyond others ecologies and economics aspects. At São Francisco river, d

3. Caracterização genética populacional do camarão sete-barbas Xiphopenaeus kroyeri (Heller, 1862) no litoral sudeste-sul do Brasil
Xiphopenaeus kroyeri, also known as the sea bob, is one of the most important fishery resources along the southeastern-southern coast of Brazil. However, its capture is beyond sustainable limits. Population structure analysis provides important information for the delineation of management and conservation programs. The genetic structure of the X. kroyeri po

4. Avaliação da sustentabilidade dos elasmobrânquios demersais à pesca de arrasto de camarão no litoral norte do estado de Santa Catarina
The objective of the study was to assess the sustainability of demersal elasmobranches caught by coastal pink shrimp trawl fishery in northern Santa Catarina, Brazil. The data were collected between June 2004 and November 2005 during 5 research cruises carried out on the research vessel Soloncy Moura, equipped with a otter trawl net. The study was divided in

5. Analysis of population genetic structure of Prochilodus lineatus (Teleostei, Characiformes, Prochilodontidae) in the Rio Grande basin, São Paulo, Brazil / Análise da estrutura genética populacional do curimbatá (Prochilodus lineatus, Characiformes: Prochilodontidae) na região da bacia do Rio Grande, SP.
Prochilodus lineatus has a commercial importance in the Brazilian freshwater fishing, especially in the Rio Grande basin. Several studies have been done with P. lineatus in this area, including those delimiting populations. Since then, the Rio Grande basin has been changed due to environmental impacts caused by construction of several dams. The most expressi

6. Mapeamento sonogrÃfico da plataforma continental adjacente ao municÃpio de TamandarÃ, Pernambuco, Brasil
The objective of this study was recognize the actual phisiographic and sedimentologic features of the continental shelf adjacent to TamandarÃ-PE, located in the APA Costa dos Corais through a sonographic mapping. Twenty bathimetric and sonographic profiles had been generated using a Sea Scan PC side scan sonar and an echosounder GARMIN GPSMAP 185 Sounder.

7. Mitochondrial DNA variation in wild populations of Leporinus elongatus from the Paraná River basin
Leporinus elongatus, a fish species widely distributed throughout the Paraná River basin in South America, is an important fishery resource and a valuable species in aquaculture programs. Despite its great economic importance, several wild populations have been suffering a drastic reduction. The comprehension of its population structure represents an import
