3. Evaluation of the Properties of LaNiO3 Material Prepared by the Modified Proteic Method for Adsorption of Environmental Contaminants
LaNiO3 material was synthesized by modified proteic method, calcined at 900 °C/2 h in air atmosphere and was applied to remove environmental contaminants. LaNiO3 phase with a perovskite structure was formed in the calcined material, which has a surface area of 22 m2 g-1 and is formed by fine particles agglomerated, with pH of the zero charge point of 7.44.

4. The BigFLUX Magnetic Matrix Technology
Abstract The Magnetic separation of ultra-fine ore particles has always posed a challenge to the JONES/WHIMS process. Despite many advances in this technology, no effective improvement has been made to its core component: The Magnetic Matrix. The current approach to separate ultra-fine particles teaches that the gap of the matrix and its teeth size must be s

6. A model for training ultrasound-guided fine-needle punctures
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of a training program in ultrasound-guided fine needle puncture using a cost-effective model. METHODS: We evaluated the training of 20 resident radiology physicians, based on a theoretical course and a practical simulation part with models that focused on the puncture technique of thyroid nodules. The total time

7. How does organic carbon operate in the pore distribution of fine-textured soils?

8. REFLECTIONS ON THE INDEXICAL POINT OF VIEW: ON COGNITIVE SIGNIFICANCE AND COGNITIVE DYNAMICS, BY BOJISLAV BOZICKOVIC
Abstract In accounts of indexicals, we encounter two problems: the problem of cognitive significance and the problem of cognitive dynamics. The problem of cognitive significance leads us to posit finer-grained sense content to account for the explanation of our actions and emotions. Meanwhile the problem of cognitive dynamics calls us to show how two episode

9. Pressed roofing tile based on cementitious material and basalt powder: Technological and toxicological characterization
Abstract This study aims to develop a pressed concrete roofing tile from powder technology containing basalt powder in substitution of fine sand (aggregate) for application in building covers. Specimens were submitted to technological and toxicological characterization. Hence, pressed specimens based on cement and basalt powder were analyzed. In the bending

10. Subacute thyroiditis associated with COVID-19 infection: a report of an increasing entity
SUMMARY In March 2020, the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic. By May 2021, 37 cases of subacute thyroiditis (SAT) associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) had been reported in the literature. We report a patient diagnosed with SAT associated with COVID-19 and review the previously reported case

11. Study of soils used with subgrade and sub-ballast in Brazilian railways
Abstract Brazil has an extremely limited railroad network compared to other developed and developing countries. There are projects to expand this mesh. Knowing that the cost of implementing a railroad is high, research for solutions that allow cost reduction is of great importance. But the parameters of the materials used in the subgrade and sub-ballast laye

12. FATORES DE EMISSÃO E DE ENRIQUECIMENTO DA CROSTA PARA ELEMENTOS TRAÇO (MP2,5) EMITIDOS PELA FROTA VEICULAR NA REGIÃO METROPOLITANA DE SÃO PAULO, BRASIL
Air pollution can cause several negative impacts on health and the environment. In large urban centers, this pollution is directly related to anthropogenic activities, mainly activities in the transportation sector. This study analyzed data on black carbon, fine particulate material (PM2.5) and its main trace elements from automotive vehicles (S, P, K, V, Cr
