1. Neuroproteção dopaminérgica pela associação de exercício físico espontâneo e tratamento crônico com nicotina no modelo da doença de Parkinson em ratos - indicativos dos mecanismos envolvidos / Dopaminergic neuroprotection through the association of spontaneous physical exercise and chronic treatment with nicotine in a rat model of Parkinsons disease indicative of involved mechanisms.

2. INFLUÊNCIA DO ÔMEGA 3 SOBRE SINTOMAS EXTRAPIRAMIDAIS, DEFICIÊNCIA COGNITIVA E PARÂMETROS DE ESTRESSE OXIDATIVO EM ANIMAIS TRATADOS COM NEUROLÉPTICOS
Haloperidol and fluphenazine are typical neuroleptics widely used in the treatment of mental illness, whose chronic use is associated with adverse effects that affect the motor function and memory, among others. The motor disturbances can be moderate, and include parkinsonism, akathisia, dystonia, but also a more severe syndrome, known as tardive dyskinesia

3. Note on the scoliosis of Parkinsonism.
A lateral deviation of the spine and a corresponding tendency to lean to one side was found in 19 and 21 consecutive unoperated patients with Parkinsonism encountered in an outpatient clinic. The direction of postural deviation correlated significantly with the laterality of the major signs and symptoms of Parkinsonism. The phenomenon appears to be analogous

4. Striatal Alterations of Secretogranin-1, Somatostatin, Prodynorphin, and Cholecystokinin Peptides in an Experimental Mouse Model of Parkinson Disease*S⃞
The principal causative pathology of Parkinson disease is the progressive degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta projecting to the striatum in the brain. The information regarding the expression of neuropeptides in parkinsonism is very limited. Here we have elucidated striatal neuropeptide mechanisms in experimental parkin

5. Speech disorders of Parkinsonism: a review.
Study of the speech disorders of Parkinsonism provides a paradigm of the integration of phonation, articulation and language in the production of speech. The initial defect in the untreated patient is a failure to control respiration for the purpose of speech and there follows a forward progression of articulatory symptoms involving larynx, pharynx, tongue a

6. Disturbances in the voluntary recruitment order of anterior tibial motor units in bradykinesia of Parkinsonism 1
The recruitment of motor units is studied with an electromyographic technique for secure identification of single motor unit potentials. It has been shown in previous studies that the recruitment order is different in tonic and in phasic activities; in tonic activity the recruitment order is stable and low frequency units are always recruited before high fre

7. Scoliosis in rats with experimentally-induced hemiparkinsonism: dependence upon striatal dopamine denervation.
Rats suffering from experimental hemiparkinsonism induced by a unilateral injection of 6-hydroxydopamine into the left area ventralis tegmenti showed a strong ipsilateral deviation and scoliosis-like skeletal deformity. The rats often showed single rotatory curves affecting the thoracic and lumbar regions, although cases with multiple curves were also found.
