1. Gene Deletion Leads to Improved Valinomycin Production by Streptomyces sp. CBMAI 2042
The genus Streptomyces represents one of the largest producers of molecules with antibiotic activity. The whole genome sequencing of the endophytic microorganism Streptomyces sp. CBMAI 2042 revealed 35 gene clusters encoding for secondary metabolism including 3 non-ribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPS) and 7 NRPS-hybrids. Combining genome mining and cultivati

2. Antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxic activities exhibited by endophytic fungi from the Brazilian marine red alga Bostrychia tenella (Ceramiales)
Abstract Marine environment is one of the most important sources regarding natural products research. Besides, marine microorganisms have been denominated as a talented natural source for discovery of new leads. Although the association of macroalgae and fungi has been described regarding ecological issues, there is a lack of studies about marine seaweed end

3. Direct MALDI-TOF/TOF analyses of unnatural beauvericins produced by the endophytic fungus Fusarium oxysporum SS46
The best time of production of the cyclohexadepsipeptide beauvericin by the endophytic fungus Fusarium oxysporum SS46 in Czapek medium was evaluated. The highest level of beauvericin production was found on day 21 of fermentative culture, as assessed by quantitative analysis by high performance liquid chromatography coupled with a photodiode array detector.

4. Diversity of endophytic diazotrophic bacteria of red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle) and evalution of the biotechnological potential. / Diversidade de bactérias diazotróficas endofíticas de mangue vermelho (Rhizophora mangle) e avaliação do potencial biotecnológico.
Mangroves are considered a coastal ecosystem, located in the transition between the terrestrial and marine environments. This environment is typical of tropical and subtropical regions and is found throughout the world, mainly in Brazil, Indonesia and Australia. The occurrence of a large amount of organic matter enhances the fact that microorganisms are impo

5. Biodegradação do herbicida mesotrione por linhagens bacterianas isoladas de folhas de milho
Chemical fertilizers and pesticides have become an important part of modern agriculture. The use of these chemical brought great benefits but also created new problems, such as disposal after use, persistence over time and accumulation in the environment, resulting significant bad consequences to public health and adverse impact on ecosystems. Maize culture

6. Diversidade da comunidade bacteriana endofítica de sementes de soja e o seu potencial biotecnológico / Endophytic bacterial community diversity of soybean seeds and its biotechnological potential
Plant tissues, including seeds, are inhabited by microorganisms called endophytes, whose interaction with the plant can offer advantages to the host. It is known that plants growth promotion is induced by indole acetic acid (IAA) synthesis, phosphate solubilization and nitrogen fixation, among others. The control of phytopathogenic fungi is also related to a

7. Antagonistic properties of some microorganisms isolated from Brazilian tropical savannah plants against Staphylococcus coagulase-positive strain
Endophytic microorganisms are relatively unstudied as potential sources of novel natural products for medical and commercial exploitation. The aim of this work was to investigate some Brazilian tropical savannah trees Cassia leptophylla and Prunus spp. in order to isolate the endophytic microorganisms associated with these plants. The samples were disinfecte

8. Optimization of culture conditions the endophytic fungus Papulaspora immersa for production of bioactivities substance 2008. / Otimização das condições de cultivo do fungo Papulaspora immersa para produção de substâncias bioativas
Due to the increase in the microbial resistance to the current antibiotics, investigations in substances with antimicrobial activities, as well as substances with antiparasite and antitumoral activities, become relevant. Among the important natural sources in the development of new drugs, the secondary metabolites of microorganism have showed promising resul

9. RizobactÃrias promotoras de crescimento e fungos micorrÃzicos arbusculares no desenvolvimento de mudas micropropagadas de bananeira
In order to study the effect of plant growth promoted bacteria (PGPB) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on development of micropropagated banana seedlings three experiments were performed. Endophytic and epiphytic bacteria were isolated from roots of six cultivars of banana and characterized regarding production of pectinase, celulase, indolacetic acid,

10. Interaction between Methylobacterium extorquens and sugarcane (Saccharum sp.) / Interação entre Methylobacterium extorquens e cana-de-açúcar (Saccharum sp.)
Plants produce a variety of defense enzymes when colonized that can impair the microorganismsestablishment. This adverse condition in the host plant lead to a response from the microorganism, which is associated with the synthesis of a set of proteins and other molecules that affect the interaction with the host and shift the bacterial community associated.

11. ISOLAMENTO, IDENTIFICAÇÃO E CARACTERIZAÇÃO DE LINHAGENS ENDOFÍTICAS DE Bacillus thuringiensis DE MANDIOCA (Manihot esculenta Crantz) / Isolation, identification and characterization of endophytic strains of Bacillus thuringiensis from cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz)

12. Genetic variability of Fusarium spp. and study of its interaction with the host plant. / Variabilidade genética de isolados de Fusarium spp. e estudo da interação com a planta hospedeira.
Fusarium spp. is a cosmopolitan fungus that covers a great number of species known by the ability of causing diseases in agricultural important crops. Although non-pathogenic isolates of Fusarium spp. have been described, little is known about the genetic variability of this group, even if it can be found in countless places. Therefore, this work had the obj
