1. A High-Gain Hemispherical Dielectric Lens Antenna Operating Simultaneously in Narrowband or Wideband for X-band Applications
Abstract A hemispherical dielectric lens antenna is proposed to provide beam-steering for communication networks operating in X-band. Two different printed antennas are simultaneously used to guarantee high performance and diversity of applications, one a wideband linear polarized antenna, and the other a narrowband circular polarized antenna. To ensure this

2. Action Items for Latin-American Chemists and Chemical Societies to Improve Equity and Diversity in Science
The chemists from Latin-America need to do more to achieve equality in the scientific world and gain greater recognition by the broader chemical community. For this, we should rethink our strategy to fight for a more inclusive science, not only internationally but also within our region. Raise your hands and take actions to support this movement.

3. Spatial Diversity Effect on the Experimental Gain of Capacity of the Outdoor Mobile Radio Channel in the 700 MHz Band
Abstract From measurements performed in the 700 MHz band, this paper analyzes the effect of spatial diversity on the channel capacity through the propagation of an OFDM mobile radio signal and compares with the results of a single branch providing what improvement of the capacity is attained with the SIMO system.

5. Genome-Wide Assessment of Putative Superoxide Dismutases in Unicellular and Filamentous Cyanobacteria
Abstract Cyanobacteria are photoautotrophic prokaryotes capable to grow in diverse ecological habitats, originated 2.5-3.5 billion years ago and were first to produce oxygen. Since then superoxide dismutases (SOD) acquired great significance due to their ability to catalyze detoxification of byproducts of oxygenic photosynthesis i.e. superoxide radicals. In

6. Proteins and Peptides at the Interfaces of Nanostructures
Abstract: The present review focuses on the proteins and peptides at the interfaces of nanostructured metals and semiconductors as a result of their use in synthesis in-situ and functionalization of nanostructures. We start the review with an introduction about the peculiar properties of nanostructured materials and their applications. In the following, the

7. Inferring mating system parameters in forage peanut, Arachis pintoi, for Brazilian Amazon conditions

8. Desafíos en la ampliación del tiempo escolar en dos contextos: Distrito Federal (Brasil) y Cataluña (España)
Abstract The present article contemplates an analysis on the extension of the school time in the basic education; and evidences that the subject has occupied great space in the international literature. In Brazil, he comes to gain relevance with the new reorganization of secondary education. Because this is a comparative study, the article focuses on the exp

10. Genetic diversity in Brazilian soybean germplasm
Abstract Genetic diversity is an essential factor for the success of any plant breeding program and should be considered to ensure genetic gain through breeding. In Brazil, research on the genetic diversity and population structure of soybean is required since the species is an important commodity of the country. The study addressed the genetic diversity and

11. Polarization Diversity on ESM Systems
Abstract Polarization diversity antenna arrays are applied to electronic support measures (ESM) systems since the 1980s. However, even today modern systems are conceived with the employment of the traditional and inconvenient spiral antennas and there are no studies that evidences most of the benefits of this technique applied to them. This paper aims at sho

12. Woody vegetation dynamics in a floodplain campo de murundus in central Brazil
Campos de murundus (grasslands dotted with knolls that are covered with savanna-like woody vegetation) are a common landscape in central Brazil. In this study, we assessed for the first time the dynamics of the vegetation in a floodplain campo de murundus, describing changes in composition and structure of the woody vegetation. In 2005, we established 16 per
