1. Mechanical Properties Analysis of Al2024 alloy Submitted to Different Aging Time and different Cold Plastic Deformation degree
Brazilian aeronautical industries report that, due to the high mechanical properties presented commercially, AA2024-T351 alloy presents fissures and non-homogeneous deformations during the mechanical processing. This work proposes a manufacturing process capable of increasing the ductility of the material to withstand tensions during processing and a subsequ

2. Analyses of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with CFRP under bending: theorical and computational approaches

3. Análise de estruturas aeronáuticas reforçadas por doublers colados / Analysis of aeronautical structures reinforced by bonded doublers

4. Evaluation of abutment and perimplantar region deformation of implant-supported screwed prostheses: an study using strain gauges / Avaliação da deformação do intermediário e região perimplantar de próteses implanto-suportada unitárias parafusada: estudo através da extensometria
The dental implant depends on the supporting bone for its stability and functional longevity. Mechanical behavior and trabecular bone structure affect the interface with the implant. Such knowledge may provide a basis for improvements in the current implant function and design, decreasing bone crest resorption and failure at bone-implant junction. Adequate q

5. Evaluation of the mechanic behavior of fiber reinforcement in a fine sandy lateritic soil applies in pavement layers / Avaliação do comportamento mecânico de um solo arenoso fino laterítico reforçado com fibras para uso em pavimentação
The propose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the randomly distributed fiber reinforcement in the compression and tension resistances, deformability and resilient modulus of a fine sandy lateritic soil (FSLS) for base layer of pavements. Glass fibers and polypropylene fibers were studied. The first was added in contents of 0,5%, 1,0% and 1,5% with l

6. Estudo geoestrutural do maciÃo de Granito Vermelho Frevo SertÃnia-PE
The purpose of this report is to recommend a new methodology for prospecting ornamental rocks massifs. This is why it is important to supply the technical staff, for the future operations of mining of knowledgement of the petrographic and physical-mechanical features of the rock to be extracted and the regime of tensions to be submitted to define the best sy

7. Experimental inquiry on chip formation in the machining of ABNT 1045 steel and nodular casting iron / Investigação experimental da formação do cavaco na usinagem do aço ABNT 1045 e do ferro fundido nodular
The chip formation is influenced by several cut parameters which also affect the forces, tensions, powers and temperatures generated during the machining process. Although they have been studied for more than 100 years, still today, the involved mechanisms of deformation are not totally know, due to the fact that the chip formation involves high temperatures

The present work was developed to evaluate the potential of uses of an anaerobic reactor manufactured in HDPE High Density Polyethylene produced by the rotomolding process in substitution to the conventional reactors built in stonemasonry, working in a batch regime and buried in the soil. The state of tensions and the deformations were assessed using the pro

9. DEFORMABILITY AND STABILITY OF SLOPES SUPPORTED BY SOIL NAILING / DEFORMABILIDADE E ESTABILIDADE DE TALUDES EM SOLO GRAMPEADO
Deformability and stability of slopes supported by soil nailing are relevant aspects in the utilization of this reinforcement system during excavation. The project concept involves choosing the installation angle, spacing, and resistance of the soil nails. The parameters, usually determined from Limit Equilibrium Theory, cannot predict the deformation of the

10. Efeito da hidroxiureia e progesterona na regulação da transcrição do gene da gama globina
Sickle cell anemia is a very common hereditary disease caused by a structural defect in the beta-globin chain, giving rise to HbS. This anomalous hemoglobin, under low oxygen tensions, forms intracellular polymers, causing deformation of the erythrocytes which, in tum, block the micro-circulation and cause infarction in various organs. Pharmacological induct

11. Liquid plug propagation in flexible microchannels: A small airway model
In the present study, we investigate the effect of wall flexibility on the plug propagation and the resulting wall stresses in small airway models with experimental measurements and numerical simulations. Experimentally, a flexible microchannel was fabricated to mimic the flexible small airways using soft lithography. Liquid plugs were generated and propagat

12. Cell-Wall Changes and Cell Tension in Response to Cold Acclimation and Exogenous Abscisic Acid in Leaves and Cell Cultures.
Freeze-induced cell tensions were determined by cell water relations in leaves of broadleaf evergreen species and cell cultures of grapes (Vitis spp.) and apple (Malus domestica). Cell tensions increased in response to cold acclimation in leaves of broadleaf evergreen species during extracellular freezing, indicating a higher resistance to cell volume change
