25. Istoadenoma do ducto biliar comum
Biliary duct cystoadenomas are rare neoplasms, with about 120 cases described in the literature, including cystoadenomas and cystoadenocarcinomas. The authors report a case of cystoadenoma of the common bile duct in a 45-year-old woman with history of jaundice. Ultrasound revealed a cystic mass located in the common bile duct. Endoscopic retrograde cholangio

26. Linfangioma cístico do fígado
Hepatic lymphangioma developed from a malformation that blocks the lymphatic system of a given area of the liver is a rare benign tumor observed most often in children and adolescents. The authors report and discuss a case of cystic lymphangioma of the liver in a 65 years old female patient, from a region where hydatid disease is endemic, with a complaint of

28. Evaluation of serial changes of pancreatic branch duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms by follow-up with magnetic resonance imaging
The purpose of this study was to clarify the biological behaviour of branch duct type intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) by evaluating serial changes at magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP). Fifty-two patients with a diagnosis of branch duct IPMN based on either endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) (9/52) and/or MRC

29. Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the left main bronchus mimicking MacLeod's syndrome.
A 15 year old girl who was labelled as having MacLeod's syndrome on the basis of a chest radiograph was subsequently, at the age of 23 years, found to have an adenoid cystic carcinoma obstructing the left main bronchus. This case emphasises the need to exclude a central lesion in cases of unilateral hyperlucent lung.

30. Solitary cystic dilatation of the intrahepatic bile duct.
A 31 year old man was hospitalised with general fatigue and epigastric pain. Abdominal ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging showed a cystic lesion in the left lobe of the liver. Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography and percutaneous trans-hepatic cholangiography revealed a localised dilatation of the intrahepatic bil

31. Neuroenteric cyst of the optic nerve: case report with immunohistochemical study.
A 36 year old man developed slowly progressive unilateral visual loss due to a cystic lesion of the intraorbital optic nerve. Pathologically the lesion was an epithelium lined cyst entirely within the atrophic nerve. The cyst lining consisted of columnar epithelium partly pseudostratified and ciliated with evidence of mucin secretion, and was immunoactive fo

32. Xanthochromic cysts associated with meningioma.
Three cases of cystic meningioma encountered in one year are presented. It appears from a review of the literature, and an analysis of these three cases, that large xanthochromic cerebral cysts may be associated with meningiomas in any of three configurations: (1) centrally within the tumour; (2) peripherally within the tumour; (3) in the adjacent brain. 33. Mesenchymal hamartoma of liver in a man: comparison with cases in infants.
A 53 year old man with a large mesenchymal hamartoma is reported. Only a few bile ducts could be found in the periphery of the lesion and no hepatocytes were identified within the lesion. As far as is known, this is the only adult male patient reported to date. On the basis of the reported findings of mesenchymal hamartoma in other adults, it is suggested th

34. A rare symptomatic presentation of ecchordosis physaliphora: neuroradiological and surgical management
We report a case of ecchordosis physaliphora, an uncommon benign lesion originating from embryonic notochordal remnants, intradurally located in the prepontine cistern, that unusually presented associated with symptoms. MRI detected and precisely located the small mass. At surgery, a cystic gelatinous nodule was found ventral to the pons, contiguous with the

35. Echocardiographic features of a mediastinal pancreatic pseudocyst.
Cross sectional echocardiography detected a mediastinal pancreatic pseudocyst which caused extracardiac compression in a 49 year old man. Computed tomography confirmed the presence of a cystic lesion lying behind the heart and extending from the pancreas to above the carina. Surgical decompression resulted in resolution of the clinical and echocardiographic

36. Non-communicating supratentorial subarachnoid cysts
The clinical and radiological features and operative treatment of six patients with supratentorial subarachnoid cysts are reviewed. Five were adults aged 37 to 57 years and the other a male infant, aged 8 months. Three patients presented with epilepsy and hemiparesis, one with epilepsy without signs, another as Parkinsonian syndrome, and the infant with hydr
