1. Nonatherosclerotic Giant Right Coronary Artery Aneurysm
Abstract We present an unusual case of a 67-year-old woman with an incidental finding of a cardiac mass on a chest computed tomography. Coronary angiotomography confirmed the diagnosis of right coronary artery aneurysm, with 5.7×5.7 cm. The patient underwent aneurysm resection and coronary bypass surgery, with subsequent histologic study suggestive of arter

2. Evaluation of Plasma Asprosin Concentration in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease
Abstract Introduction: The goal of this study is to investigate the association between diagnosis and severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) and Asprosin level. Methods: Patients diagnosed with CAD who underwent conventional coronary angiography for the first time were included in the present study. The patients were divided into four groups, each consi

3. Early Use of Handgrip Exercise Associated with Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography in Women
Abstract Background Coronary artery disease (CAD) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in women and requires early diagnosis for defining the appropriate treatment. Objective To identify the positive predictive value (PPV) and safety of the early use of handgrip exercise in pharmacological stress echocardiography using dobutamine (early-ECHO) i

4. Dynamic Changes in Perioperative Cellular Inflammation and Acute Kidney Injury after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
Abstract Introduction: This study investigated the role of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), the perioperative changes in NLR (delta-NLR), the platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and the platelet count in predicting acute kidney injury (AKI) following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) during hospital stay. Methods: The records of 396 patients with p

6. The impact of visceral fat and levels of vitamin D on coronary artery calcification
SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: To evaluated calcification of the coronary arteries and its association with visceral fat and 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) serum levels. METHODS: A cross sectional study involving 140 individuals without any previous diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. A biochemical analysis of vitamin D serum levels was carried out, as well as compute

7. Case Report: Myocardial Bypass in Left Descending Artery - A Rare Congenital Anomaly
Abstract Myocardial bypass (MB) is known to have scientific relevance and is present in several studies with great statistical significance regarding its clinical manifestations and complications. There are still questions about MB in its relationship with heart disease and repercussion in life-threatening conditions. We present a case report of a MB in the

9. QT Interval Dispersion Behavior in Patients With and Without Obstructive Coronary Artery Disease Undergoing Exercise Test
Abstract Background: Stress test is used to detect coronary artery disease (CAD). The QTc interval dispersion (dQTc) is an electrocardiographic index of ventricular repolarization heterogeneity. Some researchers have linked transient myocardial ischemia induced by physical exertion with increased heterogeneity of ventricular repolarization measured by dQTc.

12. Coronary Artery Dilation in Children with Febrile Exanthematous Illness without Criteria for Kawasaki Disease
