2. HIV/AIDS knowledge among MSM in Brazil: a challenge for public policies
O conhecim

3. Chemosensor Development of Cu2+ Recognition Using 1,5-Diphenylthiocarbazone: Optimization, COSMO-RS and DFT Studies
The sensitive and selective chemosensor for copper(II) ions (Cu2+) was successfully optimized using the 1,5-diphenylthiocarbazone (DPT) compound. The result showed that dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in a 9:1 (DMSO:water) ratio at a pH of 3 was the optimum medium for DPT to act as chemosensor of Cu2+ recognition. The DPT chemosensor did not encounter any interfer

4. Quantum Chemical Investigation of the Intramolecular Copigmentation Complex of an Acylated Anthocyanin
Anthocyanins are the natural plant pigments responsible for most of the red, blue and purple colors of flowers and fruit. One method of stabilization of the color of anthocyanins in nature is intramolecular copigmentation, in which a copigment molecule covalently attached to one of the sugar residues complexes with the anthocyanin cation chromophore. In the

5. Kinetic parameters of lipid oxidation in third generation (3G) snacks and its influence on shelf-life
Abstract In food systems, lipid oxidation is one of the most important factors affecting food quality, nutrition, safety, color and consumer acceptance. The objective of this study was to determine the kinetic parameters of lipid oxidation and its influence in the shelf life of third generation (3G) snacks stored in three types of packaging (polyethylene, p

7. Deleuze, color y cosmos-Klee
Abstract: In this work we seek to propose a theory of color through Deleuzian inspiration; that is, we will propose a theory that looks on color as multiplicity and event. We therefore practice a route through some Deleuzian passages that will allow us to move forward in this proposal and take it to the territory of art. We do this in order to establish an i

8. Neurophysiological correlates of color vision: a model
The tree-receptor theory of human color vision accounts for color matching. A bottom-up, non-linear model combining cone signals in six types of cone-opponent cells in the lateral geniculate nucleus (LGN) of primates describes the phenomenological dimensions hue, color strength, and lightness/brightness. Hue shifts with light intensity (the Bezold-Brücke ph

9. Macroecologia do zooplâncton continental: padrões latitudinais e componentes locais e regionais na determinação da diversidade global / Macroecology of continental zooplankton: latitudinal patterns and local and regional components in determining global diversity
One of the oldest and best known global biological patterns in ecology is the latitudinal gradient of richness, characterized by a decrease in the number of species from Equator toward the poles. Several hypotheses, even today, attempt to explain the variation that occurs in the pattern of diversity of many animal and plants. Despite the advances that have b

10. Desenvolvimentos mecânicos e computacionais de suporte às medidas com sensores termoelásticos
The hydrostatic pressure inside the cell or simply cell turgor is an important component of texture in vegetables and is directly related to firmness. The decrease in cell turgor of plant organs is also an indicator of loss of tissue water. This effect can be perceived visually by wilting accompanied by a dry appearance with the loss of brightness and color

11. Efeito da granulometria e da embalagem na sorção de água pelo café torrado e moído / Effect of granulometry and packaging on water sorption by roasted and ground coffee
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of granulometry and types of packaging on the water sorption by roasted and ground coffee. Arabica coffee grains were utilized with an initial water content of 0.1234 kgw kgdm -1, roasted until the medium roast point, with a weight loss of 17%, in wich four granulometric levels were established: whole gr

12. A physiologically-based model for simulation of color vision deficiency
Color vision deficiency (CVD) affects approximately 200 million people worldwide, compromising the ability of these individuals to effectively perform color and visualization-related tasks. This has a significant impact on their private and professional lives. We present a physiologically-based model for simulating color perception. Our model is based on the
