1. Evidence of a new ordered vacancy crystal structure in the compound Cu3In7Te12
ABSTRACT The crystal structure of the ordered vacancy compound (OVC) Cu3In7Te12 is analyzed using powder X-ray diffraction data. It is found that this OVC crystallizes with a chalcopyrite-related structure, in the tetragonal space group P4 2c (Nº 112), with unit cell parameters and volume a = 6.1720(2) Å, c = 12.3597(8) Å, and V = 470.83(4) Å3. 2. The Cristalino IOCG deposit: an example of multi-stage events of hydrothermal alteration and copper mineralization
Abstract The Cristalino deposit is located 40 km east of Sossego mine, Carajás. The orebody lies along a NW-SE-striking shear zone and is mainly hosted by the Neoarchean bi-modal volcanics of the Grão Pará Group. Field work and petrographic data seconded by SEM-EDS analysis allowed recognizing an early sodic metasomatism that was followed by calcic-ferric

3. Bacterial consortium for copper extraction from sulphide ore consisting mainly of chalcopyrite
The mining industry is looking forward for bacterial consortia for economic extraction of copper from low-grade ores. The main objective was to determine an optimal bacterial consortium from several bacterial strains to obtain copper from the leach of chalcopyrite. The major native bacterial species involved in the bioleaching of sulphide ore (Acidithiobacil

4. Application of Pyrite and Chalcopyrite Electrodes for the Acid-Base Determinations in Nitriles

5. CGS based solar cells with In2S3 buffer layer deposited by CBD and coevaporation
In this paper we investigated In2S3 as substitute for CdS, which is conventionally used as buffer layer in chalcopyrite based solar cells. In2S3 thin films were deposited by CBD and co-evaporation methods and these were employed as buffer layer in CuGaSe2 based solar cells. Previous to the device fabrication, comparative study was carried out on In2S3 thin f

6. Annealing time effect on the properties of CuInSe2 grown by electrodeposition using two electrodes system
In this paper, we report the effect of annealing time on the properties of copper indium diselenide CuInSe2 films. The CuInSe2 thin films have been grown at room temperature by electrochemical deposition technique using two electrodes system. The as deposited films were annealed under argon atmosphere at 300 ºC during 15, 30, 45 and 60 min. The structural a

7. Optimization of the use of carbon paste electrodes (CPE) for electrochemical study of the chalcopyrite
The use of carbon paste electrodes (CPE) of mineral sulfides can be useful for electrochemical studies to overcome problems by using massive ones. Using CPE-chalcopyrite some variables were electrochemically evaluated. These variables were: (i) the atmosphere of preparation (air or argon) of CPE and elapsed time till its use; (ii) scan rate for voltammetric

8. Características epigenéticas do depósito de cu-au chapada, arco magmático de goiás
The Cu-Au Chapada deposit is located from 8km of Alto Horizonte-GO. The geologic picture is dominated by metavulcanic sedimentary sequences that integrate the Neoproterozoic Magmatic Arc of Mara Rosa, located in the central portion of the Tocantins Province. The framework of the deposit is represented by an antiform whose core is composed by association of t

10. Identificação e caracterização de genes expressos diferencialmente em Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans na presença de sulfetos metalicos / Identification and characterization of differentially expression genes in Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans in the presence of metal sulfides
Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans is a Gram-negative, mesophilic, acidophilic, chemolithoautotrophic bacterium that obtains energy from the oxidation of ferrous iron, elemental sulfur and reduced sulfur compounds. A. ferrooxidans is one of the most used microorganisms in bioleaching, an industrial process used for the recovery of copper, uranium or gold, fiom l

Analise da expressão de genes que codificam proteinas transportadoras em Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans e Acidithiobacillus thioxidans na presença de sulfetos metalicos / Expression analyses of genes that encode for transporter protein in Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans and Acidithiobacillus thioxidans maintained in contact with metal sulphiides
Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans and Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans are acidophilic, chemolitotrophic and mesophilic bacteria found in bioleaching environments. A. ferrooxidans uses ferrous iron and sulphur compounds as an e1ectron donor and A. thiooxidans uses on1y sulphur and sulphur compounds. Both species are aerobic using oxygen as final e1ectron acceptor.

12. Geologia e petrologia do prospecto GT-34 : evidência de metassomatismo de alta temperatura e baixa fO2, província mineral Carajás, Brasil
The GT-34 Prospect in the Carajás Mineral Province is located within older gneissmigmatite terrains (Xingu Complex). Sulfide mineralization is hosted by irregular bodies of brecciated rocks and/or orthopyroxene-amphibole bearing rocks outcropping among gneissic rocks. Distribution of sulfide-rich intervals form an irregular NE trend of about 1.5 km-long and
