25. Características biológicas do peixe amazônico Cichla piquiti (Cichlidae:Perciformes) introduzido no reservatório de Cachoeira Dourada no rio Paranaíba, Brasil
The Basin of the river Tocantins-Araguaia is the natural habitat of the Cichla piquiti species, however, currently it meets widely distributed in dams of the river Paraná especially in the Minas Gerais and São Paulo states. In these subject to flooding plain ecosystems, the trophic ecology of the communities of fish is influenced by some factors that can b

26. The loss of leaf and its relation to genus Ectatomma (Formicidae:Ecatomminae) in a cerrado community / A perda de área foliar e sua relação com o gênero Ectatomma (Formicidae: Ectatomminae) em uma comunidade de cerrado
The loss of leaf area, mostly resulting from the action of herbivores is one of the factors that regulate the reproductive success of a plant and indirectly to all consumers connected to the community. Most studies of herbivory and leaf loss are punctual, i.e., refer to one or a few plant species. In the cerrado, a tropical savanna in Brazil, the largest sav

27. Predatory behavior of the land flatworm Notogynaphallia abundans (Platyhelminthes: Tricladida)
Land flatworms are carnivorous, mainly predators. However, knowledge on their predatory behavior and prey preference is very scarce. This paucity of data is a limiting factor in the study of their biology and organismal ecology, resulting in a very difficult task to breed them in the laboratory for prolonged periods if prey preference and predation frequency

28. Transferência trófica de mercúrio e selênio na costa norte do Rio de Janeiro
Trophic transfer of trace elements along marine food chains has been recognized as an important process influencing metal and metalloid bioaccumulation. The trophic transfer of mercury was observed between trophic levels from prey (considering fish with different feeding habits and squid) to top predator (dolphin) in a Northern coastal food chain of Rio de J

29. Fontes de lipídios para juvenis de trairão (Hoplias lacerdae). / Sources of lipids for juvenile trairão (Hoplias lacerdae)
This study aimed to evaluate diets with different oil sources on juveniles of trairão (Hoplias lacerdae). Experimental design was completely randomized with five replications and four treatments (oils: canola, flaxseed, soybean and olive oils). Treatments were isonitrogenous (42% PB) and isocaloric (4569.29 kcal EB/kg), differing only in the source of oil.

30. Reproductive ecology of two species of Leptodactylus and the evolution of morphological, behavioural and ecological characters in the L. pentadactylus species group (Anura, Leptodactylidae) / Ecologia reprodutiva de duas espécies de Leptodactylus e a evolução de caracteres morfológicos, comportamentais e ecológicos no grupo de L. pentadactylus (Anura, Leptodactylidae)
Historical Ecology unifies concepts in ecology, behavior and phylogeny. To determine the evolutionary context of reproductive characters within the Leptodactylus pentadactylus species group and also to explore questions such as predation and habitat selection, I described the reproductive ecology of two key species, L. labyrinthicus and L. syphax) (Anura, Le

31. Os medios e grandes mamiferos de mosaicos em areas de reflorestamentos no Centro-Oeste paulista / The medium and large mammals of mosaics in reflorestations areas in the São Paulo center-west

32. Morphology of the alimentary canal of the gecko Hemidactylus mabouia (Moreau de Jonnès, 1818) (Squamata: Gekkonidae) / Morfologia do tubo digestivo da lagartixa Hemidactylus mabouia (Moreau de Jonnès, 1818) (Squamata: Gekkonidae).
Hemidactylus mabouia is the gecko species more thoroughly distributed in Brazil, being common in anthropic atmospheres, what turns easy its use as model for study of the reptiles. Likewise, aiming at to describe morphologically the alimentary canal of H. mabouia, 17 adult specimens were used, being collected fragments of the esophagus, of the oesophagogastri

33. Amino acids requirement and soybean meal in juvenile dourados Salminus brasiliensis (Cuvier, 1816) nutrition / Exigência em aminoácidos e farelo de soja na nutrição de juvenis de dourado Salminus brasiliensis (Cuvier, 1816)
Only a few research report address dietary amino acids requirement of Brazilian fish; this is true especially in regard to dourado, Salminus brasiliensis (Cuvier, 1816), a migratory, carnivorous Characin, which is not only the largest scale fish of the Prata Basin but also a prized aquaculture and sport fishing species. This study address dietary amino acids

34. Morphophunctional assessments of testis in adult coatis (Nasua nasua Linnaeus, 1766) / Avaliação morfofuncional do testículo de quatis (Nasua nasua, Linnaeus, 1766) adultos
The study of the testicular morphophysiology in wild animals has been increased in the last years, seeking the development of protocols in assisted reproduction, due the constants threats on the fauna with the crescent human development. On the other hand, some few species, like the procyonids coati (Nasua nasua), present great adaptability to adverse condit

The study of testicular morphology and the spermatogenic process in wild animals is fundamentally important for the knowledge about the physiologic patterns, by which the assisted reproduction protocols are established. The objectives of this study were to describe morphometry data of testis and seminiferous tubule, quantify and describe the arrangement of t

36. Exigências em proteína e energia e valor biológico de alimentos para o dourado Salminus brasiliensis / Protein and energy requirements and biological value of selected feedstuffs for the dourado Salminus brasiliensis
The dourado, Salminus brasiliensis, presents excellent farming characteristics, such as fast growth and excellent flesh quality. However, the lack of the knowledge on the species nutritional requirements and biological value of feedstuffs hamper the formulation of diets for optimized performance and, consequently, the speciesintensive farming. To determine d
