1. Dolomite-zirconia reaction sintered bonded coarse magnesia ceramics: effect of the bonding proportion
Abstract Refractory ceramic materials were manufactured, mainly composed of magnesia grains (coarse and medium fraction) and CaZrO3/MgO as a binding phase produced from the reaction sintering between CaMg(CO3)2 (dolomite) and m-ZrO2 (monoclinic zirconia), which constituted the finer fraction. Different relationships between the proportion and the size of the

6. Hybrid Hydrogels Based on Polyethylene Glycol Bioconjugated with Silylated-Amyloidogenic Peptides
Hybrid-peptide hydrogel arrangements are a promising alternative to obtaining biocompatible structures at the nanoscopic scale. In this work, a new class of hybrid hydrogels was obtained through the sol-gel process based on the reaction between an amyloid-like octapeptide sequence [RF]4 (where R = arginine and F = phenylalanine) covalently bonded with glycin

7. Shear bond strength evaluation of metallic brackets bonded to a CAD/CAM PMMA material compared to traditional prosthetic temporary materials: an in vitro study

8. TiO2 Decorated Sand Grains for Photodegradation of Pollutants: Methylene Blue and Ciprofloxacin Study
This study shows a preparation and evaluation of a new non-expensive TiO2 based photocatalyst built over sand grains surfaces as an alternative green technology for water treatment. The semiconductor covalently bonded to the silica sand grains (sand@TiO2) prepared by hydrolysis of isopropoxide orthotitane over sand grains, showed a high surface area 296 m2 g

9. Light Activation and Thermocycling Methods on the Shear Bond Strength of Brackets Bonded to Porcelain Surfaces

11. Effect of Hydrofluoric Acid Concentration and Thermal Cycling on the Bond Strength of Brackets to Ceramic

12. Bond strength evaluation between textiles reinforced mortar with carbon nanotubes and concrete substrate
Abstract The influence of using carbon nanotubes to improve bond strength between textiles reinforced mortar and concrete was investigated. Forty-two specimens were tested using double-shear test to evaluate the effect of various parameters such as CNTs addition, type of textile material, bond length and width, and number of TRM layers on the bond behavior.
