2. Thermodynamic properties of the field electromagnetic field in the CPT-odd standard extended / Propriedades termodinâmicas do campo eletromagnético no setor CPT-ımpar do modelo padrão estendido
In this work we study the effects of the spontaneous breaking of Lorentz symmetry on black body radiation phenomenon in the context of the Maxwell-Caroll-Field-Jackiw (MCFJ) model. The MCFJ model is the electromagnetic CPT-odd sector of the standard model extension and, it presents for a purely space-like background a positive-definite hamiltonian. Firstly,

3. Ramsey Spectroscopy in an atomic fountain / Espectroscopia Ramsey em um chafariz atômico
We present some relevant aspects for the realization of a 133Cs fountain, intended to operate as a primary frequency standard to realize the definition of the second. The main goal of this work is the optimization of the experimental setup of the atomic fountain in its most critical parts: the interaction region and the detection system. Furthermore, the sev

4. Characterization of the main frequency shifts for the brazilian 133Cs atomic beam frequency standard
In order to evaluate an atomic clock, it is important to determine the main frequency shifts caused by external fields, device imperfections, etc. Scanning the frequency of the main oscillator, the Ramsey fringe is obtained and used to determine the main shifts. The gravitational shift (10-17), second order Doppler (1.65×10-13), Black-Body radiation shift (

5. Thermodynamics of an ideal gas of bosons harmonically trapped: equation of state and susceptibilities
We present theoretical aspects concerning the thermodynamics of an ideal bosonic gas trapped by a harmonic potential. Working in the Grand Canonical ensemble we are able to properly identify the extensive thermodynamic variable equivalent to the volume and the intensive thermodynamic variable equivalent to the pressure. These are called the "harmonic volume"

6. Estimativa dos componentes do balanço radiativo à superfície mediante satélites meteorológicos / Estimation of components the budget radiation surface by using meteorological satellites
The budget between incoming radiation surface and outgoing is called Budget Radiation Surface (BRS). Conventional methods of measure of this budget are prompt and therefore representative of small areas, while that the meteorological satellites allow to all have a regular covering of the globe. This thesis has as objective basic to analyze methods of estimat

8. Optical polarization and infrared spectrum of a possible protostar in a reflection nebula
The star HD 200775 illuminates the reflection nebula NGC 7023. This star is one of a small group of Ae and Be stars associated with nebulosity and proposed by Herbig as candidates for newly formed stars of moderately large mass. The system is a part of a large dust complex more than a degree in extent. Structural features in the nebulosity can be traced very
