2. Contribution about the occurrence of Pachymerus bridwelli (Prevet) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in diaspores of pindo palm (Butia odorata) (Barb.Rodr.) Noblick & Lorenzi
ABSTRACT Several studies have demonstrated the importance of Pindo palm in Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil, mainly through preservation but also due to the economic potential of using its fruit. 3. Distant populations of a Xanthosoma (Araceae) species have different floral scents but the same cyclocephaline beetle pollinators
ABSTRACT We report on the reproductive biology, pollinators, and thermogenesis of the widely distributed Araceae species, Xanthosoma striatipes. We analyzed the floral scent in one population and compared it to a previous study. Xanthosoma striatipes was studied at three sites in Brazil, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Maranhão. The results showed constancy of

4. The carrion beetle Oxelytrum discicolle (Coleoptera: Silphidae) and the estimative of the minimum post-mortem interval in a forensic case in Brasília, Brazil
Abstract The order Coleoptera is considered second highest in forensic importance in criminal cases involving violent death, because members of this order increase in richness and abundance as the decomposition process progresses. We present here the first Forensic Entomology (FE) case in Brazil where the carrion beetle, Oxelytrum discicolle (Coleoptera: Sil

5. Richness of Chrysomelidae (Coleoptera) depends on the area and habitat structure in semideciduous forest remnants

10. Giant rhinoceros beetle Golofa claviger (Linnaeus) (Coleoptera: Melolonthidae: Dynastini) is damaging North Brazilian oil palm plantations
ABSTRACT The oil palm is an economically important crop cultivated in the North of Brazil. Damage caused by insects is one of the main causes of reduced productivity for the oil palm.
