1. Funções valorização e anéis de valorização de Dubrovin em álgebras simples / Value functions and Dubrovin valuation rings on simple algebras

2. Introdução elementar às álgebras Clifford CL IND.2 CL IND. 3 / An elementary introduction to Clifford algebras CL IND.2 CL IND. 3

3. Identidades polinomiais graduadas de algumas àlgebras matriciais
Let K be an associative and commutative ring with 1 and let A be an associative Kalgebra with or without 1. We say that the polynomial identities of A have the Specht property if each K-algebra B satisfying all the polynomial identities of A has a finite basis for its identities. Let M2(K) be the algebra of 2 × 2 matrices over a field K. If K is a field of

4. Identidades graduadas em álgebras não-associativas / Granded identities in non associative algebras

Fin

6. Sistema de identidades polinomiais sem base finita
Let F be a field and let A be the free associative F-algebra (without 1) on free generators x1; x2; Let f = (x1;; xn) A and let G be an associative algebra over F. We say that f = 0 is a polynomial identity (or an identity) in G if f(g1; ; gn) = 0 for all g1; ; gn G. Two systems of polynomial identities {ui = 0}| i I} and {vj = 0} | j J} are equivalent if ev

7. A-polynomial identities in associative algebras / A-identidades polinomiais em algebras associativas
In this PhD thesis we study polynomial identities in associative algebras. More precisely we study the A-ideIltities for several important classes of algebras. The first main result of the thesis gives a complete description of the A-identities for the Grassmann algebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic O. In this way we give a positive an

8. PI-Algebras
This dissertation introduces the first notions of the combinatorial study of the theory of algebras that satisfy polynomial identities (the so-called P I -algebras), as well as some of their most important results. We present the theorems due to Kaplansky and Regev, about the tensor product of P 1-algebras. Besides, we describe some results due to Amitsur an

9. FLEXIBLE POWER-ASSOCIATIVE ALGEBRAS OF DEGREE 1*
It is shown here that there are essentially two different types of simple flexible, strictly power-associative finite dimensional algebras of degree 1; namely, the fields and the algebras of Kokoris. This follows readily from the perhaps more basic result that characterizes the simple commutative power-associative finite dimensional algebras of degree 1 as f

10. THE RADICAL OF A JORDAN ALGEBRA
In this paper we define a Jacobson radical for Jordan algebras analogous to that for associative algebras and show that it enjoys many of the properties of the associative radical. We then relate the corresponding notion of “semisimplicity” to the previously defined notion of “nondegeneracy” (Jacobson, N., these Proceedings, 55, 243-251 (1966)).

11. Orientation in operator algebras
A concept of orientation is relevant for the passage from Jordan structure to associative structure in operator algebras. The research reported in this paper bridges the approach of Connes for von Neumann algebras and ourselves for C*-algebras in a general theory of orientation that is of geometric nature and is related to dynamics.

12. Noncommutative Jordan Algebras with Commutators Satisfying an Alternativity Condition*
The theorems of this paper show that the main results in the structure and representation theory of Jordan algebras and of alternative algebras are valid for a larger class of algebras defined by simple identities which obviously hold in the Jordan and alternative cass. A new unification of the Jordan and associative theories is also achieved.
