RESUMO
This research focuses on two cultural projects in the State of São Paulo which practice the ?roda de samba? as catalyzer and mediator of the social relationships. We first tried to understand the practice of these groups, considering the context in which they appear, their relations with the samba?s particular trajectory in the State of São Paulo, as well as with the samba at national level; and secondly, how they relate themselves with the production and reproduction of cultural media. We noticed that they could become cultural resistance and social transformation instances when they develop practices that can be analyzed under an educational perspective. We tried to understand the importance of the leaders which are responsible for an ample work that starts by research and ends up by the knowledge transmission during the ?roda de samba?, by observing the practices developed inside these groups and by the analysis of the oral testimonies related to memory reconstruction processes. By searching the right sources and emphasizing memory reconstruction, organization and transmission, they find the meanings to present experiences which enable them to continue the cultural process. Thus we could establish the relationship between these experiences of memory reconstruction and transmission with non-formal educational processes developed in the interior of the researched groups
