The Acquired Immunologic Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) initially was considered masculine phenomenon, since the men who made sex with men (HSH) represented the category of dominant exposition. Currently the expansion between women constitutes important aspect of the epidemiologist transition. This study looks forwavato analyze the vulnerability of provincial women to the infection of HIV/aids; to identify if to the variable sex and race/color influences in the vulnerability of women of the interior of infection for the HIV/aids; to apprehend the Social Representations of women of the interior to the infection of HIV/aids.This is abaut study with multimethods boarding, of the descriptive and exploratory, whose theoretical axles had been the Theory of the Social Representations of Moscovici, fundamental notion and concept of vulnerability. The research took place in Jequié-BA. 25 women had participated of the study, between 22 and 77 years old infected by, of the HIV/aids virus, registered in a center of reference for treatment of DST/aids, between August and outubro/2006. The collection of the data was made through documentary analysis, halfstructuralized interviews and Free Test of Association of Words - TALP, that had as inductive stimulatons: AIDS, HIV, sex, sexuality and feminine vulnerability to the infection of HIV/aids. The data gotten for the TALP had been submitted to the Factorial Analysis of Correspondence - AFC, gotten through Tri-deux-Mots software, and the interviews were submitted to the analysis of the thematic content. The results of the AFC had demonstrated to significance for the fixed 0 variable race/color and religion. To the white catholics the AIDS was represented as preconception e prevention, what evidences the prophylactic aspect and social exclusion; to the white evangelics the representations that emerged mas illness and death, characterizing the biological aspect that in the context of religiosity is pointed as punishment, because of that devious behavior. The Social Representations of HIV apprehended among catholics had been (aids and sex with condom) and among the evangelics (death, fear and care), associating, respectively, the biological notion and feelings of fear and protection front of the ingury. The AFC emerged positive and similar representations, evoked by the groups aboux sex: pleasure, care, desire, good and prevention. About to the feminine vulnerability to the infection of HIV/aids, the words had been portraied : confidence, infidelity, sex without condom, disinformation and promiscuity (white and black catholics); infidelity and blood transfusion (white and black) evangelics. The representations of evangelics do not disclose similitudes with the scientific knowledge regarding the thematic one. It is observed that the majority possess knowledge about on the importance of the use of condom in the prevention of the injury, even if they have been contaminated by unproctected sexual relation. The negudice and the discrimination constitute a barrier to the adhesion of adequate treatment. The apprehended Social Representations for this studied group explicitam the invisibility of the social and programmatical vulnerabilities and the questions of gender in the dynamics of the infection and point to a strong influence of the religious doctrines on the behavior of the people in questions of sexual and reproductive order translated by the concepts of guilt and sin that make it difficult to dialogue about sexuality.
