RESUMO

This study aimed to contribute to the political and ideological formative process analysis of the the landless rural workers movement. Since the 1990 s, the working class in Brazil had started a period of defensive position and, also, the brazilian left wing has gone on under a huge ideological and political crisis. All along 1995 until 2002, President Fernando Henrique Cardoso implemented quickly neoliberal policies and, due to this aggressive action of the dominant class, movements and popular organizations, at urban or rural areas, to find themselves weakened. We have tried to analyze, in this context of the ebb away of massive social struggles, how the landless rural workers movement (MST) has developed the political and ideological formative process, what are the principles, methodology, problems and challenges. And then, how these activities of this Movement have contributed to rise the consciousness level in order to their struggles achieve more and more anti-capitalist features
