RESUMO
Experiences that touch us: a dialogue with harworking children who insist n studying. Our research was developed in district of Duque de Caxias, Baixada Fluminense, along whit fifty children who not only study but also work. They are urban children who work doing freight in public fairs, juggling at traffic lights, selling sweets at pubs and the like. These children consist of a share of the Brazilian people between nine and fourteen years of age who work to raise their families income. Our main aim is to learn with these hardworking children about their lifestyles at their working place by placing them in touch with school work which thereby will contribute to turn this school into an area of success for both hardworking students and teachers
