RESUMO

The process of adaptation of organizations to reality is considered a survival factor of the companies. Consequently the strategic vision is having more importance nowadays, due to the fact that organizations are more competitive with more decentralizing managerial models. The strategic vision must be a clear and immediate enunciation that leads to the direction established by their directors. This study describes the process of strategic vision of three companies from the undertaking of strategic planning. The bibliographic research, which analyses the questions that involve the acceptance of the strategic vision, process, components, difficulties in the process and strategic planning and their models proposed by some authors, emphasizes the approach that present solutions to the problem of the research. The purpose of this paper is the strategic vision of the companies and its implications in the development of the organizations. In the theoretical research, it reveals not only the importance but also the relationship between the vision and concrete positions of the companies in all fields of performance explaining its influence in the several departments of the company. The theoretical sphere of this study delimits the area of concepts of vision, searching for ways to identify them in three companies in city of Santa Maria/RS. The methodology used was the qualitative research, classified as descriptive, and used for its development the technique of multi-case study.
