RESUMO

The present study objectified to evaluate the potential of the minicutting a method of vegetative propagation for the forest species Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K. Schum., Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze and Tectona grandis Linn. f., determining the efficiency of the minicutting in the seedlings production of changes of the related species how much productive through production and the survival of ministumps in the successive collections; the root of the minicuttings from the successive collections; the effect of the application of different dosages of growth regulators (AIB and ANA) in the rooting and the quality of seedlings, to determine countent of the reducing sugars during the rooting of minicuttings of Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K. Schum. The miniclonal garden of the studied species was formed from ministumps gotten by reproductive propagation (seed) which was leadin the full sun and receiving periodic fertilizations every 15 days. The sprouts had been harvested in intervals of 15 days for the Tectona grandis Linn. f. and Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K. Schum. and 30 days for Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze. The survival of ministumps was high for the three evaluated species. The production of minicuttings by ministumps was high for the Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K. Schum. and Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze, but it was lowed e influenced f. by the time of the year for the Tectona grandis Linn. f.. The results had demonstrated not to be necessary the use of growth regulators for the vegetative propagation of Tectona grandis Linn. f. and Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K., once the species has high capacity of rooting independentely of the grouth regulators. For the Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze the best dosage and grouth regulator was 2000 mg L-1 de ANA. For the Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K. Schum. in the concentrations of 1000 and 2000 mg L-1 had provided to greater root length at 60 days, either for the AIB or for ANA. It had also an anticipation in the beginning of the rooting. In the analysis of the carbohydrate carried through in minicuttings of Calycophyllum spruceanum (Benth) K. Schum., a reduction in the concentration of the reducing sugars with the root growth was verified, coinciding with a rise in the starch synthesis, during the period of 30 the 45 days. The concentrations of reducing sugars and starch has been positively correlated with the application of growth regulators. For Cariniana estrellensis (Raddi) Kuntze, the application of growth regulator ANA was superior to the AIB, increasing the rooting, presenting significant difference for the test of F (P<0,01). The minicutting for the species evaluated in the present study is technical viable, becoming an alternative for the production of seedlings for these species.
