RESUMO

This work consists of a study of the climatic variables related to thermal comfort in three different arboreous structures along Ribeirão Cachoeira, District of Sousas, Municipal District of Campinas, SP. Taking as starting point the hypothesis that the ripareous forest great1y influence the re-establishment of the appropriate conditions of thermal comfort, in this study the selection, quantification and analysis of the environmental variables involved in thermal comfort of outdoor spaces was carried out. Collected data were the attenuation of the solar radiation, ambient and globe temperatures, relative humidity and wind speed, in an area of dense forest, the second one degraded and the third one in open space. The results corroborate the importance of the vegetation, together with the water bodies, in the improvement of the environment, as related to ambient temperature and to relative humidity, which can show great influence in the analysis of thermal comfort
