RESUMO

The toy allows nurses to take better care of hospitalized children, especially in regard to new situations and limitations, which are potentially anxiogenic. For this reason was proposed this study to validate the content to be explored in the construction of a virtual site related to the use of toys in the pediatric nursing care to hospitalized children. This research is exploratory, descriptive, quantitative and qualitative in which the Delphi technique was used to validate three major thematic areas: "The play as a strategy for pediatric nursing care", "The therapeutic play as a strategy for pediatric nursing care" and " The child-nurse therapeutic communication. " These domains initially included 24 items. For evaluation was used Likert scale with five degrees of adequacy: Fully Sound (CA), Adequate (A), Partially Adequate (PA), Inadequate (I) and Completely Inadequate (CI). Was used as the Cronbach alpha coefficient to measure internal consistency with cutoff 0.7, as the percentage to compare the agreement, also with cutoff 70%. The judging panel consisted of 12 nurses with experience in using the play as a strategy of care. With regard to sociodemographic characteristics: their ages ranged from 35 to 60 years incomplete, 8 (66.8%) lived and worked in the State of São Paulo, nine (75%) were formed in public, 8 (66 6%) were formed over 20 years. Six judges (50%) used the toy from 5 to 10 years, four (33.3%) used the play in hospital and four (33.3%) in college in teaching practice. Delphi had two cycles: In the first, which lasted five months, three subjects reached Alpha correlation coefficients between 0.95 to 0.96, higher than the cutoff value pre-set. Although alpha values were high, it was decided to implement the second cycle in order to enhance Delphi and dialogue with the judges. This cycle lasted seven months and the three thematic areas were assessed in relation to property and the clarity reached a Cronbach alpha of 0.90 to 0.91 respectively. The percentage of agreement reached values greater than 80%. The suggestions in the two cycles were treated qualitatively Delphi. The Delphi technique proved a potential application and a innovative use in the nursing. In this study, this technique instrumentalized the development of sovereign educational project that will be built. In addition it was found that the Delphi technique is also useful in augmenting the dialogue between judges and investigators, even after having obtained the necessary consensus expected. The according to consensus obtained, all judges were highly qualified and from variously located in relation to geographical area, indicating that, in pediatric nursing can be detected the childrens needs, so they can be served by the play.
