Unidade ambulatorial de medicina laser : uma experiencia interdisciplinar em hospital universitario

RESUMO

This work describes the development of a Multidisciplinary Laser Center with the following characteristics: Medical Care (Diagnose and Treatment); Teaching and Research applied to the Medical Field. A significant development of this Center is shown along a period of almost 9 years with appropriate dimensioning of physical area and reduction in the costs for acquisition and maintenance of equipments. The creation of adequate protocols, the standardization of techniques and routines as well as the proper training of the technical personallead to the optimization of this Laser Center, allowing its functionality in the complex context of a Public Medical School Hospital. The integration of different Medical Specialties in a same service, determined the amplification of knowledge, the development of new technologies and most of all, clearly demonstrated the importance of the multidisciplinary work leading in benefits to the community
