RESUMO

In this work we intend to analyze the ballet Quadros Amazônicos by Francisco Mignone. The morphological aspect is the principal focus of this study and all the appreciations about harmony, melody and rhythm are used to emphasize the formal organization. In this approach we adopt the concept of Part (for macro structure) and Section (for micro structure) in order to make the identification of musical ideas more objective and how Mignone used them. We conclude that the form in this work is essentially explored by the composer who presents us a very consistent musical elaboration of the sections, as well as, of the component connections inherent to them. In the first chapter of this treatise, we present Francisco Mignones biography with personal and professional informations. The second chapter has informations about the Quadros Amazônicos suite. The third chapter has a formal analyze of this composition. In the fourth chapter we present the conclusion. After this last chapter, we include a written record with all the steps of this research and the full score of the suite. In this treatise we corroborate that Mignone had absolute knowledge about musical ideas of this composition because this work has considerable musical complexity and a clear relationship with the Indian Brazilian stories. We hope contribute for a good comprehension about this dance suite and also, to emphasize the artistic and cultural valor of one of the most important Brazilian musical history composer.
