RESUMO

Abstract: This paper presents a hybrid control approach for flexible manufacturing systems. The architecture is based on two formalisms: Supervisory Control Theory and Colored Petri Nets. Supervisory Control Theory and one of its extensions, the local modular approach, are used for treating safety and sequence related requirements. Colored Petri Nets are used to treat product routing in manufacturing systems, as well as information from Production Control and Planning (PCP). A new control architecture is proposed, where both treatments are included. To test the proposed approach, a real manufacturing system where different production routes can be implemented is modeled and the control logic is synthesized.
