Um processo para o desenvolvimento de aplicações Web acessíveis

RESUMO

The Internet is an important means of information transmission, of interaction among people, accomplishment business-oriented, education and government services. However, problems related to content accessibility have been a preponderant factor to the exclusion of users, mainly those ones presenting some kind of disability. Such process of exclusion has motivated research for methods, techniques and tools which offer to the Web professional sustentation for development of accessible Web applicatio ns. In this context, this work presents an Accessibility Tasks Model (MTA) inserted in ISO/IEC 12207 Development Process (Standard for Information Technology Process of Software Life Cicle) to assist analyze, design, implement and the evaluation software accessibility . For support to sub process explicit in MTA, the Pantaneiro is presented, (a tool for generation e-gov applications). It has been modified in order to produce Web pages with standard of Web accessibility considering WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) level A. A case study has been elaborated with groups of developers using MTA and accessible Pantaneiro to test, evaluate and validate these and to inve stigate how much they are integrated to promote the accessibility and, to verify if the following strategies: training in Web accessibility, use of MTA as a model to conduct the accessibility in development process and use of Pantaneiro as an authoring tool which supports of development accessible Web applications, are efficient on promotion of Web accessibility.
