TURISMO E PAISAGEM: A INFLUÊNCIA DA ATIVIDADE TURÍSTICA NA PAISAGEM NATURAL DO MUNICÍPIO DE BOMBINHAS (SC) ENTRE 1960 E 2005

RESUMO

The present research project analysed the transformations that have occurred in the landscape in the town of Bombinhas (SC) from the 60s up to date. The tourism in the town has developed in a very fast way, causing several changes in the space and, consequently, in the landscape. In order to evaluate these changes, it was sought to understand the evolutionary process of the landscape in the town during the last decades, under the view of the local residents. The characteristics of the natural landscape, especially the qualitative ones, were also identified and correlated to the historical and transformational characteristics of the landscape after the touristy development of the town. The tourism, the main economical activity of Bombinhas, has developed in a disorganized way, apart from social and environmental concerns. Therefore, it was necessary to verify the quality of the natural space, since the big touristy attractions of the town and its natural landscape were the most motivational aspects for the development of secondary residences in the area. To collect the necessary pool of data, a qualitative method, particularly a case study with an evaluative and comparative approach through reading, images and interview scripts, was used. In general terms, results show that the main changes that have been occurring in the landscape of Bombinhas in the last four decades concern: infra-structure, touristy activities, environmental quality, civil construction, and production models. These data were classified according to the grouping of the collected answers. Another interesting result obtained in the present research is the fact that, the more developed the region, that is, the bigger the concentration of urban infra-structure, the smaller the quality of the natural landscape of the area, as pointed out by 10 the interviewees. Thus, it is considered that the social-economical changes in Bombinhas, due to the natural growth of the town, have had a significant influence in the landscape of the area. This way, the correlation between the natural history of the town, especially the evolution of production models, the photographic analyses and the view of the community contributed to a better understanding of the evolution of the touristy activities, particularly because it becomes multidisciplinary and includes the view of different areas. Therefore, it is necessary to high light the importance of studies relating different areas not only to the understanding of the phenomenon of the touristy activities, but as a way of organizing them and avoiding negative effects.
