RESUMO

The cultural tourism is conceived as a form of alternative tourism that embodies the consummation of the commercialization of the culture. Chosen elements of any culture become products offered in the tourist market. This article argues that the processes of generation of cultural products lead to new forms of interpreting the authenticity and they express the dynamism and imagination of the local groups to adapt to the demands of the demand.
