Tratamento cirurgico em regime ambulatorial da fissura anal cronica por esfincterotomia lateral interna subcutanea : analise dos resultados

RESUMO

Surgery is the method of choice for treatment of chronic anal fissure. Lateral subcutaneous sphincterotomy of the internal sphincter is one widespread surgical procedure which presents successful results. However, local anesthesia for this surgical procedure has not been used 80 frequently; for this reason 195 out-patients with chronic anal fissure were submitted to lateral internal sphincterotomy under local anesthesia and the results obtained were evaluated. The follow-up included the incidence of local and general complications and pain, time of healing, the presence of incontinence and percentual or recurrence. The results permits the following conclusions: 1. Pain resulting from anal disease disappears in the immediate post-operative period. 2. Pain resulting from the surgical procedure was insignificant. 3. The incidence of local complications was minimal (3.5 %) and there was no incidence of general complications and mortality. 4. Return to normal activities was precoce. 5. There was no inconvenient of hospitalization. 6. Healing was observed between 2 to 4 weeks -operative
