RESUMO

Except for some exceptions, the erotic trilogy by the Brazilian writer Hilda Hilst ― composed of the works O caderno rosa de Lori Lamby, Contos dâescÃrnio: textos grotescos and DiÃrio de um sedutor ― is often considered as something detached from her literary production and of a lesser aesthetic force for its near approximation to aspects of pornography. This paper aims to track the aesthetic perspectives of the trilogy by investigating its discourse, language and structure, as well as demonstrating that the author does not put aside the deep issues of existence which have always constituted the focus of her literary legacy, namely God, death, literary art and human relations. Some of the main theoretical sources used to develop an examination of the works were found in Georges Batailleâs thoughts about eroticism, in Mikhail Bakhtinâs reflections on discourse, in Luiz Costa Limaâs discussions of fiction and in GÃrard Genetteâs theory of literary texts structure
