Transmissão de video em redes sem fio padrão IEEE 802.11b

RESUMO

The aim of this study is to investigate the video streaming transmission in wireless networks (WLAN) standard IEEE 802.11b, by using as clients portable devices notebooks and PDAs. Some experiments were made by the video transmission stored in a streaming server to the device and the performance has been checked. I would have been seen that when the networks have been exposed to small effort the video transmission can flow regurlarly. Although when a transport is inserted in the net in a regular tax, the net using is increased as well as the packages loss and video quality decreases. The stops get increased and there is an interruption in video transmission. Although it is possible the video transmission its result cannot be assured, which will depend on the applications to which are in the net as well as the kind of clientdevice used to request the video. Many devices are necessary to assure the service quality demanded to the application in order to get better results
