RESUMO

The present dissertation tried to investigate and bring reflections and analysis over educative practices with art lived by teenagers and teachers of a Public Fundamental School, located in a peripheral region of Belo Horizonte city, state of MG, Brazil. The speeches of the researched subjects and the analysis of a huge material, such as video tapes, photographs and students homework, pointed that the teachers and the teenagers has built both sociability spaces and themselves, as subjects. Art was present in the relations, in dialog with the dynamic of sociocultural practices. In this process, the art became present all over the school, exceeding the educative relations in classroom, linking with social practices coming from outside. Then, the title of this dissertation is Becoming sociocultural subjects with Art: an experience of young students and teacher from Vila Pinho Municipal School. The main objective of it was to analyze, departing from the subjects speeches students and teachers the feelings and means attributed to the experience; and also to try to produce reflection over how this experience happened, and the relations among art, education, the students, esthetic and ethic. I work from the principle that, if the school understands the sociocultural reality of its students , it can be well succeeded in its pedagogic relations, and that the educative processes in which art is present may establish a relation with the esthetic and the ethic, producing significant situations of teaching-learning, and also the constitution of subjects (new subjectivities) and construction of spaces of sociability at school. The results of the research indicates that the subjects who lives this educative experience with art, became new ones, once the knowledge was not only on the surface, it left marks. These subjects are acting. New actions with art are happening in other places.
