The work has as main objective understand, from a town of the State of Tocantins called Duro, current city of Dianópolis, the construction of arrangements of visibility and denial of the sertão. The Duro and its surroundings are considered in the literature and regional history as deep sertão as a place of difficult access, hidden, poor transport and communication, low population, privileged place for fugitives, the scene of violence and traditional social relations.
