RESUMO

This study analyses the process of popular housesinsertion in the urban tissue of Salvador. Consists in how the habitational groups interact with its urban neighborhood and with the whole city. The sites studied was Vilar Viver Melhor, Loteamento Vale das Dunas e Jardim Nova Primavera. They are located in different areas in Salvador what permits an analysis among the three realities. The study encloses too the financial investiments in popular houses programs.
