RESUMO

This work aims to analyze the process of Capital accumulation by the Brazilian construction industry between 1964 and 1979, which was formed as a necessary foundation for the internationalization process from the last two decades of the twentieth century. The research presented here has taken an historical approach, being presented with a narrative-explanatory, taking as its object the Brazilian construction industry as a whole. The References are based on the theories of internationalization of capital from a Marxian approach. The understanding here is the internationalization process depends on an organic relationship between Capital and State. The State provides foundation and institutional environment necessary for its development managing a sociometabolic apparatus. Moreover, it is understood that this internationalization depends on an accumulation of capital necessary volume form of wealth and technical know-how and technology. We chose to redeem the changes in political and economic context of the period in question, linking them to a description of the performance of the Brazilian construction industry.
