RESUMO
The general scene of this inquiry is the city in the contemporary world, under the impact of the advances of the techniques, scientifics and informationals processes, that in wide scale defines the current processes of the globalization, through by new medias. The central subject of the study is related with the function played by the physical space in the social totality, as results of the processes of economic production, politics and semantics (of technician-cultural-ideological representation), defined under the specter of the current dynamic of communication and the formation of new urban meanings. The inquiry toward for the territory as physical, social and economic instance, searching to analyze in specific way the function of urban infrastructures in its configuration, the effects of the urbanization processes and the creation of new meanings in the cultural environment of the cities. The territory Its interesting to stand out the new forms of production of the territory and how it acquires meant in the the urban culture context, pointing the problems of its technique, social and cultural configuration. Finally, it searchs for arguments to explain that the current processes of urbanization and the systems joint of the territories inscribes new form-meanings, under effect of the current processes of communication, and complain cognitivas or theoretical changes for its explanation, as well as the adoption of new strategies that can make possible renewed forms of representation and understanding of the dynamic territorial, capable to make possible the actions of planning and management of the space, as much in its physical instance, as social and economic. The urban reconfiguration of the Vitórias territory ahead the emergency of the new productive infrastructure, that here is taken as object of empirical study, is not more than one excuse to anchor a reflection about the effects and the consequences of the new production model, that is misguided of the traditional territorialities and it convokes certain localities so that they emerge of its space reclusion and integrate the globalized world of the exchanges and the difference. An excuse to argue the challenges attributed to the productive mobilization of the regions, to the knowledge of the new social and economic actors, of the new urban meanings, the function of urbanism, at last, to the management of the territories.
