TENDÊNCIAS DE PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA EM ARTEEDUCAÇÃO E A PROPOSTA TRIANGULAR DE ENSINO

RESUMO

This research aimed at investigating the tendencies in scientific production of Art Education at Brazilian university programs from 1995 to 2004. I order to carry out this research, I selected 98 thesis and dissertation abstracts from Brazilian bibliographical database. The research specific objectives were to identify the post graduation program areas in which Art Education researches were concentrated, as well as to categorize the researches according to their themes, privileging with a more detailed analysis those involving Art Education in Brazil based on the Triangular Proposal. The investigation detected that the majority of Art Education theses and dissertations occurred in the field of Education (49 researches), followed by Arts and Communications (16 researches). Philosophy area, and Education and Culture area counted 7 and 5 researches respectively, and Production Engineering 5 researches. In addition, I observed that Federal University of Santa Catarina, University of São Paulo, and Mackenzie University were the institutions that produced the highest number of theses and dissertations dealing with Art Education. 2000 and 2001 were the years when the greatest amount of productions occurred, 35 and 25 for each year respectively. Thesis and dissertation themes identified in my research were: Curriculum (32), Aesthetic Appreciation (29), Philosophical Aesthetic (13), Teacher Formation (13), Epistemology (7), and psychology of Art (4). Within the category Curriculum, two themes, Information of Technologies and Communication, and Art Work Re-reading were the ones that revealed the dimension of Ana Maes Triangular Approach, since this approach appears in 10 of the 98 researches analyzed, sustaining the discussion on the present and on the future of contemporary Art Education through Lev Semenovich Vygotskys Art of Psychology.
