RESUMO

This a masterâs degree research presentes the development of the TAE.web-u, a proposal for a aesthetic evaluation technique for websites with users. This work explains all the path through which the technique was constructed. The development process of the TAE.web-u involved defining conceptual and contextual guidelines, an analysis and selection of procedures, and also an experiment whose objective was to test the proposal. The TAE.web-u is divided in two parts: a questionnaire and an interview. The questionnaire investigates the emotional impact of the website on the user, and also the user interpretation about the websiteâs forms. The interviewâs objective is to investigate the user valuation over the websiteâs appearance, searching causes of aesthetics problems in parallel. Results show the method is capable of fulfilling the purposes demanded
