RESUMO

The central subject of this piece of work is the ecotourism. The objectives had been: to consider sustainable indicators for the ecotourism, being considered social, economic and environmental components, considered as indicating biophysical (environmental) and socioeconomics (social and economic) and, still, to develop and to test methodology of evaluation of the ecotouristic level of sustainable. A script for definition of the sustainable indicators was used, identifying itself it the significant categories: resources endogenous, exogenous operation of the endogenous system, resources and operation of exogenous systems and, still, were selected groups of pointers and more significant describers through literature revision and consult the five specialists of the ecotouristic area. For the to make possible of the methodology of evaluation sustainable ecotouristic level, a test on the basis of given collected in the PESM was become full filled nucleus of Picinguaba, SP. Indicating ones had been found 98, being that, they alem of these, they had been determined 11 indicating general minimums of sustentabilidade:1) contribution of the ecotourism for the local economy, 2) population impact, 3) satisfaction of the visitor, 4) protection of the place, 5) load capacity, 6) control of the development, 7) satisfaction of the local population, 8) management of the residues, 9) local stress, 10) impact in the ecosystem and 11) attractiveness. Of the 98 pointers, they had 19 been of the natural element (assigned as being the water, the ground, air, the flora and the fauna), 10 of the cultural element - assigned as, artistic, cultural and paleo-antropo-archaeological historic site, 25 of social element and 4 of the economic element. The indicators had also mentioned the operation to it of the ecotourism in the elements of transport, 6 indicators; lodging, 8 indicators; feeding, 8 indicators; guides and conductors, 2 indicators; equipment, 2 indicators; entertainment, 1 indicator and displacement, 13 indicators. The test carried through in the PESM Picinguaba demonstrated the viability of the application of the formula ISE (%) = {[Σyes(IBIO + ISEC)]/ Indicators Total} x 100, with a 72% result. The gotten results confirm that the objectives had been reached.
