RESUMO

In this work it was made a rising of the main causes and solutions of the defects that happen in the transformation of polymers for the molding process for injection. The preparation parameters and tuning of the equipments were discussed involved in the process taking into account the project of the product aided by software, as well as types of injection molding machines, types of molds, screws for processing, definitions of the process parameters and their implications in the manufactured product. It was made an approach of the typical defects that they appear in the injected products under the technological point of view and maids tables with the main injection defects, facilitating the visualization of their causes and solutions to avoid them. The software "moldflow" was used as alternative to simulate the injection process, in three case studies, being shown an efficient tool for the prevention of injection defects
