RESUMO

This study talks about dating practices prevailing in Lages, Santa Catarina, in the 1970s, and investigates appropriations of references from other cities and larger centers that have influenced the behavior of young people regarding sexuality and sociability. Reference to the assumptions of cultural history as possible interpretation of the representations and appropriations when behaviors were influenced by sexual liberation, the arrival of the contraceptive pill, the use of hallucinogenic drugs, focusing on ways to experience the nightlife, social clubs, discos, cinema, radio and television. Tariff in the gender category of historical analysis in the perception of sexual and social requirements, the body uses and behaviors, and their transgressions. It is also the period in which the city is undergoing a significant migration from rural to urban looks and says modern, due to the enrichment of landowners and businessmen of the wood (pine Araucaria extracted). Sources such as photographs, local newspapers, memoirs and documents are hereby certified, and analyzed in order to perceive them as carriers and producers of meanings and subjectivities
