RESUMO

Climate factors influence the occurrence of plant diseases. The objective of this work was to develop a decision support system for plant disease management and control, through the monitoring of the climatic variations and determine the risk of occurrence of plant diseases epidemics. For the decision support system a software was developed (Arc-Epidemic - Assess Risks Climate of occurrence of plant diseases Epidemics) using a grid of latitude, longitude, and altitude values for interpolation of the studied variables. The input data set was split into agrometeorological and phytopathological, where the first one was obtained from an automated meteorological stations network, and the second one was characterized by equations related to the incidence, infection and development of diseases. After processing the information, the outputs (favourability indexes) can be visualized in graphs and also in georeferenced maps, present on the web, with explanation of personalized information, according to the fenologyc phase, by crop. For avalible the precision favourability indexes, utilized as exemple, a wheat crop, in four experimental area, by two years consecutive, demonstrated potential use to forecast areas with larger probability for occurrence of disease in ?Campos Gerais? Area.
