Sistema de administração rural de um grupo de pequenas unidades produtivas : uma aplicação a fruticultura

RESUMO

The main goal of this study is to propose a rural administration system using methods and techniques applied to farm groups. This study brings into focus a small farm groups, Núcleo Rural Capivari, located in Campinas and Valinhos counties, State of São Paulo. It was analyzed the fruit-cultures: guava, grape, and fig, the three main economical activities of the studied groups. The 1995/1996 agricultural year data were utilized as basis. An economical and social formation diagnostic of these farms was also made. Then based on technical and economical data a comparative analysis was adopted to separate homogeneous groups, according to the economical results (better, intermediate, and worse performances), considering all the economical activities of the farm and then considering each studied culture. In the homogeneous groups some of the representative farms of each group were analyzed. The inventory of goods and the productive processes data were obtained through surveys carried out along with the farmers. Afterwards variables were created. Principal components analysis, automatic hierarchy classification, and group analysis were adopted to separate the homogeneous groups. These methods that were employed allowed to form distinct groups: better, intermediate, and worse economical performances for each analysis, pointing out the aspects which brought more contribution for their differentiation. A database was created and it was made up from the primary data and the results of the study. The database was introduced into a Geographical Information System to display the maps with the attribute data, including technical and economical information, relating to the spatial data information. The adopted procedures were able to emphasize the characteristics and differences in the rural administration of the farm groups that were analysed. These procedures can be used as a basis for the decision making support towards the improvement of technical and economical aspects of the farms involved in this study
