RESUMO

In a near future, the computers will offer to users the possibility to manipulete continuous media through totally interacted systems. For these systems medias like, for example, audio and video are especially important and are called continuous media because of the closed relation with the time. In computing, the mechanism capable to maintain this relation is called Synchronizator. It is the agent that establishes when each media might be captured/reproduced in a way that maintain not only its own temporal relation, as the relation exists between anothers envolved medias in the system. In this work it is presented a implementation of a multimedia synchronization server that manipulates audio and text across two computers in a netoWhen the synchronization is integrated in a multimedia system, it should interact with many other agents that are responsable, for example, by the media transmission, by the controllmonitoring of the stream progress and for the QoS (re)negotiationlcontrollmonitoring. In this context, it was developed also a plataform of multimedia services with the goal to define a communicationinterface and the functions of each agent
