RESUMO

Recently, Giarola et al. (2006) have simulated the populational dynamics of Aphis gossypii Glover, 1877 in different temperatures and chrysanthemum cultivares (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev), by using the Penna Model (Penna, 1995) and experimental data from Soglia et al. (2002, 2003). Though the results are satisfactory, the post reproductive period, observed in plat louses, is not reproduced. In the first part of this work we propose a new modification for the Penna Model to simulate the populational dynamics of A. gossypii. Al though the modified version have yielded more adequate longevities, both models can be used efficiently in biological control programmes. In the second part, in ordem to help the integrated pest manegement, we have simulated the A. gossypii populational dynamics interacti with the parasitoid Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Cresson, 1880), using both original and modified versions of Penna Model and experimental data from Soglia et al. (2002, 2003) and Rodrigues et al. (2004). Considering aspects such as migration and winged forms production in interaction dynamics, we conclude that both models can be used successfully in biological control programmes
